I can not praise the entire team enough. I need Zirconia implants, not titanium as I’m intolerant to the metal, which is more common than you would think. I did my homework and found 3 dental practices to compare, 2 in London and Integrated Dentalcare in Edinburgh. Since there weren’t any dentists in my city or county offering zirconia implants, I decided to travel to Scotland to enquire about them. After discovering a possible link between autoimmune conditions and titanium implants causing inflammation and irritation, I was surprised how dismissive most local dentists were. Neeraj at Integrated Dentalcare was altogether different. Despite being primarily concerned with aesthetics, it was refreshing to meet a dentist who also cared about my chronic illness and possible side effects. With their state-of-the-art technology, every step of getting an implant was surprisingly pain-free and infection-free and although a little more expensive than the titanium equivalent, the end result was well worth it. Everyone else I met during my implant journey, including dental nurses, hygienist, welcome team and reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Recommended by my regular dentist. Looking for an implant to fill a gap but jaw bone was very narrow at this point. Various options were clearly explained with their pro’s and con’s. Once I made a decision each stage in the process was detailed in writing with costs. All staff were very friendly and extremely patient when I found some procedures challenging. Fabulous dental practice! I had a horrid root canalled tooth removed, which I had been putting off for years, followed by a bone-graft (due to bone loss due to loss of teeth and abscesses having eaten away at some of the jaw-bone). and a Zirconia implant (due to my metal and electrosensitivity.) I travelled up from Northumberland because Neeraj is just the most wonderful dentist. As much as one can look forward to going to the dentists, I did enjoy my visits (even my dreaded tooth extraction!). The whole team is genuinely warm and caring. I felt very welcome and relaxed at every visit and all my emails. phonecalls etc were always promptly returned. All my questions regarding treatment were answered and everything explained to me before, during and after. My Zirconia implant healed in no time – it seemed within a couple of days – thanks to the membrane technique Neeraj used. I also took some homeopathic remedies to help with the healing process at home. The replacement tooth looks great and is functioning well. Neeraj was very careful to avoid a nearby nerve when placing the implant and the space available was quite restrictive, so it has all worked out very well. Neeraj is at the top of his profession. I had great trust in him and felt very safe in his hands. He is very attentive to detail, gentle, considerate and friendly, and works in a thorough, unrushed manner.
